Nottingham Trent Students’ Union (NTSU) is one of the largest and most successful students’ unions in the UK. We're consistently ranked in the top ten for student satisfaction in UK, including in the National Student Survey (NSS), Times Higher Education Awards, and the WhatUni? Student Choice Awards, all of which are influenced by students.

We're driven by our mission to empower the 40,000 students we represent. Our goal is to make Nottingham Trent University the best academic and personal experience for themselves and others.

Throughout the year, we employee both career and student vacancies. Our career roles are for those who have already graduated, however if you believe you area able to manage your university commitments around your work with us, you are welcome to apply. Our student roles are only open for current NTU students.

For current NTU students

Finding a workplace that allows you to juggle a job alongside your studies can be tough. But we make it easy.

As your Student’s Union, our aim to support you goes beyond the services we offer. It’s also a key value in how we approach student staff jobs.

That is why working for us means flexible hours to accommodate your studies, the convenience of working on campus, opportunities for training and development, and the chance to meet like-minded students in your team.

As a student, you would be on a zero-hour flexible contract according to your availability. We pay you for your hours in one-month arrears, meaning that the hours you work in October will be paid in November, on payday and so on. We will always pay you for the work you do for us, and you will also have your holiday paid out to you with each paycheck at a rate of 12.07%.  If you decide to go on a placement, we will hold your role for you while you are away but you will not be able to complete both your placement and work for us as a student staff at the same time.
