A full-time creative opportunity within NTSU's Marketing, Communication & Digital team

Help shape the visual identity of Nottingham Trent Students' Union through outstanding graphic design and creative communications. You'll create engaging campaigns, develop our brand, and bring our events, services and student experiences to life across print and digital channels.

Every year, thousands of students engage with NTSU through our events, campaigns, services and communities. As our Creative Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping how students experience their Students' Union, producing high-quality creative work that informs, inspires and connects our diverse student community.

From designing major campaigns and event branding to creating social media assets, publications, digital content and promotional materials, you'll work on a huge variety of creative projects that make a real difference to students' lives.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join NTSU's Marketing, Communication & Digital team at a time of continued investment in our brand, digital communications and student engagement.

You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to design creative assets that support marketing campaigns, events, commercial activity and student services. Alongside graphic design, you'll have opportunities to create photography, video and occasional motion graphics that enhance campaigns and help tell authentic student stories.


What you'll be doing

  • Designing creative assets across print, digital, social media, websites, events, merchandise and promotional materials.
  • Developing engaging visual communications that support campaigns, services and commercial activity.
  • Applying and developing NTSU's visual identity across a wide range of projects.
  • Producing creative content for websites, email marketing, digital signage and social media.
  • Capturing and editing photography and video to support campaigns and events.
  • Creating motion graphics and simple animations where appropriate to enhance digital content.
  • Preparing artwork for print and digital production and working with external suppliers where required.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across NTSU to deliver creative solutions that engage students and strengthen our brand.

What we're looking for

This role would suit someone with a passion for graphic design who enjoys working on a wide variety of creative projects and seeing their work make a genuine impact.

We're looking for someone who

  • Has experience producing high-quality graphic design across print and digital media.
  • Has a strong eye for typography, layout, branding and visual communication.
  • Is confident using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Can produce photography and video to support campaigns and events, with motion graphics experience desirable.
  • Can manage multiple creative projects while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and developing creative ideas.
  • Is interested in new design trends and technologies that enhance creative communications.
  • Is committed to producing accessible, engaging and inclusive communications.
