Opportunities Assistant (Get Involved)

At Nottingham Trent Students’ Union, we believe every student deserves to feel connected, inspired, and empowered. As our Opportunities Assistant (Get Involved), you will be at the heart of creating these experiences by delivering events, supporting student leaders, and helping build a fun, inclusive and vibrant student community.
This role is also a fantastic opportunity for a current NTU student looking for meaningful, flexible work that fits around studies while building skills in events, leadership, communication, and project coordination.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and deliver a diverse range of activities socials, cultural events, workshops, and more
- Identify new engagement opportunities to reach underrepresented students
- Plan and coordinate student trips
- Promote the Get Involved programme
- Help deliver major NTSU events, including Freshers’ and Awards Nights
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

- Able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- A confident communicator and great team player
- Positive, solutions‑focused, and eager to contribute
- Ready to learn new systems and tools

This role is only for students at Nottingham Trent Students’ Union and is a requirement for this role.
This role is for average 20 hours per week (on a fixed term contract until when you graduate or otherwise leave NTU) of 40 weeks under the 2026 – 2027 academic year. The start date of this role is expected to be August 9, 2026.
